A Message from the Principal
Thank you to everyone as we work through this challenging time together. Our teachers and students have truly done an exceptional job adjusting to our remote learning situation. We will return back to remote learning tomorrow, Tuesday April 21, as April 21-24 are now considered designated days of remote learning in order to provide continuity for student learning. As of today, we are still planning to return to school on Monday, May 4th. I know that our students and faculty sorely miss the regularity and routine of being in school. Nothing replaces having the chance to see each other face-to-face. (We miss our students terribly.) If anything changes with our return date, we will make sure to communicate that information with you.
Take Care,
Michelle

A Message from our Guidance Counselors
The KPMS Guidance Department is reaching out to our students each week with the "Mindful Minute" newsletter. The goal of the "Mindful Minute" is to help students understand that there are things they can do with their mind to support their well-being and to provide specific strategies that they can use.

Free Parent Webinar: "Teens, Tweens & Quarantine"
Minding Your Mind and Jon Mattleman are hosting a free parent webinar, "Teens, Tweens & Quarantine" on Tuesday, April 21 at 7 pm.
“Teens, Tweens & Quarantines” is a presentation for parents and caregivers, focusing on the impact of COVID-19 on our children. In a dynamic fashion, this talk will address the teen/tween brain, explain why this pandemic is so difficult for this age group, survey the process of loss, discuss issues related to independence, autonomy, and privacy, and offer perspectives and suggestions that parents and caregivers can implement immediately.
