The Wang Eagle
Week of December 7th, 2020
Integrity, self-control, & resiliency...
In everything we do during this school year, our goal will be to incorporate these three characteristics within our students because we believe that they are foundational elements of their future success. We are asking parents, caregivers, and family members to not only talk to your students about these three qualities, but to also model them for our students during these trying times. Together, we will overcome these obstacles and we will get to the other side...as long as we have integrity, self-control, and resiliency.

Getting ready for high school?
the report cards should be in your "hands"...
The grading system is the same as it always had been prior to the pandemic in the spring of last year and we will be setting up Parent/Teacher Conferences in the upcoming weeks. As we have explained, attendance is not only based on showing up for the first class period of the day, but it is also based on logging into every class throughout the day. Any child who missed classes or parts of classes will be marked tardy and if they leave any classes early or miss classes later in the day, they will be marked dismissed. In addition to being marked tardy or dismissed if they are missing entire classes, they will receive a disciplinary write-up for cutting classes.
Attendance and disciplinary records are incredibly important for applications to vocational schools or private schools throughout the state, so please make note of your child's attendance patterns on the report card in addition to their Academic, Behavior, and Conduct grades. POINT PERSON TEACHERS will be in touch with the details of the upcoming Parent/Teacher Conferences.
