Tree Frog News
Week of Oct. 26 - Oct. 30
Dear Families,
It’s a great new beginning at Chase Street Elementary School as we prepare to reopen our school!
At Chase, we are ready to greet our new families and we look forward to seeing all of our returning friends! As I explained in my last message, you can anticipate changes for your child’s teacher placement due to the fact that we have close to 300 students returning back to school, and 160 remaining at home.
Therefore we are currently determining which teachers will teach the virtual students and which teachers will teach the face to face students. At each grade level, we will have up to 2 teachers teaching the virtual students and the remaining teachers at the grade level will teach the face to face students.
Our staff at Chase is phenomenal and we will provide support for our students during this transitional period and as we continue to ensure that our Chase students meet and exceed grade level academic expectations.
In January, there will be another opportunity to make a change from the virtual model to the face to face model which may also impact our student placements.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as these changes occur.
We will continue to provide updates and communication regarding the daily schedule logistics for the arrival times and entry points, and safety measures within classrooms, in the cafeteria, during recess, and Specials.
