April at Knox!

Hello Knox Families!

What a fun month of April at Knox! Our Knox Musical Theatre students performed The Little Mermaid Jr. production for the staff and for our families in 3 separate performances!

Our Musical Theatre program is a partnership with the La Jolla Playhouse. Thank you to Ms. Barr and Mr. Jones for their dedication to our Knox Musical Theatre program.

Our Knox Circle leaders also visited Porter Elementary and Baker Elementary School to lead the 5th grade students in Community Circles. Thank you to Mr. Ponsford for continuing to build the bridge for our Elementary students to Middle School. Knox also hosted a TKF assembly for all of our students. We learned about being Peacekeepers in our school and in our community.

Sports and Level Up Clubs: Get Involved!

Knox's soccer team plays every weekend at the local district high schools. Soccer practice is Tuesday and Wednesday after school. Our Level Up dance program has also started. In the coming weeks we will be adding 2 more after school clubs: GTT Robotics and Lab Rats Forensic Science. Scroll down for the links to register.

Knox Primetime Update

Hello PrimeTime Families,

After a refreshing Spring Break, we are all back and ready to face the last couple of weeks remaining in this school year.

During April, students participated in many different activities including a fun field trip to the Birch Aquarium. Everyone enjoyed the companionship and educational activities that were offered. Students also took part in two fun classes led by our enrichment instructors. Some took the risk and learned a few hip hop dance moves while others overcame their fear and began piano/vocal lessons. It is exciting watching the students progress mentally and emotionally, so we hope to keep providing more opportunities for all participants.

As a reminder, the PrimeTime applications for summer and the following school year are now open so please reach out if you have any questions.

Best regards,

Kevin Cervantes
