Life Before The Constitution

Life As A Planter
I am a tobacco planter. I live in Virginia on a plantation . I am pretty wealthy , and I have about 30 slaves working for me on my plantation . I would say that my life is pretty easy the way it is now , but business is has been in confusion lately with our new government .
Bankers won't lend money to anyone , there is also lots of protest from the " rabble " . I feel as if these people are trying to take away my property from me , and in that case my land . During the revolution i sold supplies to the Federal Government , but i was paid in government bonds by Congress . I don't like this new type of Government it has become worthless . I want these debts paid back to me in good money . I hope this new government will help change things .
Life As A Enslaved African American
I am a slave that lives on a plantation in Virginia . My whole family is enslaved . The American Revolution didn't mean freedom for everyone . Life being as a slave is not well or good in any way . Although me and my family try to make the best out of it we just want to be free. In the north some states have already outlawed slavery . I hope this new constitution will change things about how us slaves are living.
