Russian Revolution

The Revolt & Why

Bolshevik leader, Vladimir Lenin lead a revolt, against the ineffective provisional government.

Women workers, left their jobs and went to the streets to protest. Over 80,000 women marched the streets.

The peasants and the lower class revolted against the government.

There was a tax poll which was inconstantly levied & and unfairly enforced. The Bolsheviks promised the land.

The revolution was a spontaneous up rise of the Russian working class. No organization planned the revolution, but it had clear goals to demand, bread, and a call for the overthrow of a Monarchy.
