Sadly, no tailgating will be allowed at GCISD games this year.
Globe Life Bag Policy
Please note that Globe Life Park will be enforcing a "No Bag Policy" for the Red Rail Rivalry game. According to their website, exceptions will only be made for "bags deemed medically necessary or diaper bags accompanying small children".
Red Rail Chaperones Needed
Hello, Band family! We need a few more chaperones for the Red Rail game next Saturday the 26th. Chaperones ride the buses with the students and stay with them for the game. We work hard to keep the kids safe AND make sure they're having fun too!
All chaperones will wear masks and encourage social distancing at all times. Questions? Email Lead Chaperon Michelle Bender at firstname.lastname@example.org. Sign up to chaperone here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0A4DAAAE23ABF85-20203
Parent/Family Show Shirts
To all who ordered a show shirt at registration, they have now been designed and orders are going in as you read this! All student and family show shirts ordered this summer should arrive in the next few weeks.
If you missed your chance to order shirts for yourself, Grandma, or neighbor -- this weekend is your last chance! Order from the following form and you'll receive your invoice in Charms:
One of our goals as a program is to foster a standard of academic excellence. Your success in the classroom leads to success in the band hall. As a reminder, the school’s first grade check is coming up on Friday, September 25th. Make sure you are turning in your homework and passing all of your classes!
School Maintenance Fee Collection
Any brass, woodwind, or percussion students that are renting a school owned instrument pay a fee of $50 per semester, per instrument to assist in maintaining our equipment during the course of the school year. These fees are paid through Skyward and/or the front office book keeper.
For example, a tuba player in the CHHS band rents a tuba for the full year ($100) + a sousaphone for the fall ($50).
This rental fee will now appear in your Skyward. Cash or Checks can be submitted to the CHHS Front Office.
