WATERFORD WEEKLY
September 30, 2016
WATERFORD MISSION
At Waterford Elementary we believe in all students and staff learning and growing together; where innovation, diversity, and relationships are valued.
Principal's Vision
If you remember from last year, I shared my vision during a cluster meeting. The vision I presented was for Waterford Elementary School to win the prestigious TAP Founders Award.

UNITED WAY CAMPAIGN
The United Way Campaign is underway for the 2016-2017 school year. Over the last two years, Waterford Elementary School has donated over $2,200.00! Since we raised over $1,200.00 last year, let's make our goal $1,300.00 for this year. Just think, if everyone on staff could give $18.00, we would easily meet our goal. Please consider donating to this outstanding cause. Jen will be placing the forms in your mailbox this week. Please fill out the form and return it to Jen by no later than Wednesday, October 12th.
Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent teacher conferences will be held on October 11th and 13th from 3:20 - 8:00 each evening. The expectation is that you will meet with all of your parents on one of these two days. If parents absolutely can't make it either of these 2 days, please schedule an additional time that week that works for them. Conference forms, with times for the parents to sign up, will be going home on Monday, September 26th. Once you receive the forms back, please schedule the conferences in Google Docs. Jen will share that with you by next Monday.
Randy will be making arrangements for interpreters.
Follow-Up to Data Day
If you have not done so yet, please schedule your goal setting conference with Katrina by Friday, September 30th.
TLT Update
This week in TLT we identified critical elements for our Great Books lessons. These will be incorporated into Cluster Learning for Cycle II with Grades 3-5. Since we will be focusing our Yearly Cluster Goal on Reading Literature in Grades 3-5, this will allow us to support teacher instruction and student learning through this work.
On Monday, October 3rd, our TLT will be visiting West Goshen's TLT for observation, reflection, and discussion.
As a result of this change, there will be one K-5 Cluster on Monday, October 3rd in the Library from 7:05-8:05 a.m. The “newbie” cluster will still be on Wednesday afternoon, October 5th and there will be no TLT on Thursday, October 6th. Please make the necessary adjustments to your weekly schedule.
On Monday, October 10th, all teachers will be meeting with their assigned PLC Mentor from 7:30-8 a.m. to evaluate their PLC Norms using the Collaborative Team Rating Scale. Teachers will also reflect in their journals on their current SKR Goal.
