Athletic Updates
Athletics Update Feb. 28, 2021
The Warriors basketball seasons came to an end this week in the first round of the GHSA State Tournament. The Lady Warriors came up short against a scrappy Kendrick team, while the Warriors found themselves on the bad end of a last second call at Hardaway. Warrior seniors Jerrell Floyd, Chuck Williams, & Antanez McGirt led a comeback and maintained the lead for the last 15 minutes of the game before an unfortunate series of events in the last three seconds ended the season. Both Warrior teams played well in the State Tournament. Congratulations and a huge ‘thank you’ to Coach Brooker and Coach Hines for leading our Warriors to successful seasons and teaching important life lessons to our student athletes.
Our Spring sports programs have started!
On Tuesday (2/23) our Warriors baseball team defeated Johnson 16-0 in the home opener. Starting Pitcher Josh Bieber threw a perfect game! See more about it HERE. Check out the Baseball Schedule to attend the next game!
Track athletes are practicing for the first meet in mid-March.
