- Email Oceanside Community Service about helping in the pantry
NOVEMBER 2019
- Volunteers needed for basketball clinic at the JCC Students will be trained to keep the score book and work the clock. Flexibility on Mon, Wed and Sundays. See Ms. Mastrande for more information.
- Ruff House Rescue is in need of supplies
- Thank a vet by making tissue pack holders and eye glass holders at OMS. Dates will be announced in early November.

DECEMBER 2019
- Cookies for Vets -- Assist the Patriots Club with creating fliers, collecting and packaging cookies to be delivered to theVA Medical Center in St. Albans
- Email Oceanside Community Service regarding Gift Wrap night at School 6
- Email Oceanside Community Service for food and delivery opportunities
JANUARY 2020
- Little Hands Helping Little Hands at the Ronald McDonald House. This is a great opportunity to get together with a group of friends and prepare treats for children and families staying at the Ronald McDonald House
- Plan and Organize an event for St. Baldricks or find a participating event to join in on!
FEBRUARY 2020
- Long Island Cares Student Volunteer Corps -- helping to support the Harry Chapin Food Bank. Organize a drive with your friends! They will accept donations of pet food, school supplies, birthday supplies, personal care items, baby products, healthy snacks, household goods, and non-perishable foods.
MARCH 2020
- Volunteer to work at the Harlem Wizards Game on Thursday, March 19th. See Mrs. Mastrande to sign-up. Volunteer numbers will be limited!
- Organize a food drive to restock pantries for Island Harvest
APRIL 2020
- OMS Day of Service Planning Team -- join OMS staff and other students in helping to plan the 2nd Annual OMS Day of Service, scheduled to take place in Oct 2020. Students in both grades are welcome to attend and meetings will count toward service hours.
MAY 2020
- Community Service Cup Awards -- the first ever OMS Community Service Cup will be awarded to the team on each grade level that completes the most service hours.
