Show Your Child That You Care
During February we celebrate Valentine’s Day and show others our love. Children need to know that they are loved. It is important that they know you are proud of them and pleased with their accomplishments. Here are some ways that you can show your child love:
- Find ways to say “I love you” every day—no matter what your child’s age.
- Make time to talk with your children and really listen to what they say. Being listened to builds self-esteem and helps children learn.
- Monitor your child’s school work. Talk about their progress and make sure they know that you are proud of their accomplishments.
GCPS Strategic Priorities - Your feedback is needed!
Planning the future for Gwinnett County Public Schools hinges on listening to our stakeholders. As part of that process, the district will be holding focus groups on our Strategic Priorities for 2020-2030.
The focus groups will be held February 19-21. This is an opportunity for our community to share candid feedback on the 10 components of our current Strategic Priorities: students; employees; parents and guardians; governance and leadership; curriculum, instruction, and assessment; facilities and operations; financial stewardship; information management and technology; communication; and public image and community pride. The feedback will help inform our direction for the 2020-2030 plan.
You should have received an notifying you of the opportunity to register for the focus groups. The email comes from Gwinnett County Public Schools but is an invitation from the K12 Insight Research Team. They are the independent research partner GCPS is using to conduct the review. K12 Insight will randomly select participants from registrants, facilitate the focus groups, and compile the results to ensure confidentiality.
Interested stakeholders can register online January 28 through February 11 by clicking the link below:
https://survey.k12insight.com/r/GCPS2030
Please register now! We would love to have great representation from Partee ES and the Shiloh Cluster!
PTA Informational Session
Would you like to learn how to support our school community? Please join us for the PTA informational session on Saturday, Saturday, February 23 to learn more about the needs at the school.
The information covered during these sessions will provide you with detailed information regarding PTA Board member's roles and responsibilities and share ways that you can support the school as a general member of the PTA. This will assist you with making a better informed decision regarding running for office during the spring elections and joining the PTA.
If you are interested in learning more about serving on the Partee PTA, please RSVP for one of the two informational sessions using the following link: https://goo.gl/forms/8hCxxl7RaRIf7t033
