Last Bright Lights of 16-17

Many thanks for another terrific year!

Principals for a Day

These two children played the role of principal for a day. Here they are seated on Mr. B's pilate ball as they get ready to check emails, reply as necessary and answer any issues that arise. Their attitudes were awesome and I thank their mom and dad for bidding and winning this opportunity at the annual Trivia Night.

Lots of Items still here

Lost and found items

The lost and found table in front of the office is once again piled high with too many items. Have your child check the table for any missing clothing, shoes, hats, and gloves. Any items left after will be donated to charity the morning of Friday, June 9th.

Some final day insights

The final day of school brings closure and good byes, as well as some celebrations of being a classroom community. There were plenty of smiles and even a few tears. When the students and teachers connect, it is a very powerful feeling between them.

We have some changes in our teams for next year and we will welcome new staff and wish those who have left all of the best.

Getting ready for the renovation

Here you see Mrs. Waller inventorying books before they get put on carts. The carts will store the books while the library is renovated-painted, carpeting, construction. This has been a very large job and she has been very busy getting all the titles stored. We had wonderful volunteers who took the books off of the shelves and placed them on the carts. Whew! The library will be competed in time for the Open House. Thanks Mrs. Waller, Mrs. Schmieding, and Mrs. Massek, and our hardworking custodians.

Here a first grader in Mr. Heinze's room is getting some last minute reading on her tablet. There is always time to read.
