SEL Newsletter
October 13, 2021
Hello, RMS Families!
In September we facilitated Minute Meetings with all students in the cafeteria and asked them to answer five questions related to how they're feeling about school. The results are in: overall, most students shared that they feel happy about school this year, feel connected to school, feel safe at school and have friends at school. As the survey was anonymous please continue to check in with your child and reach out to the SEL Team with any concerns related to your child's social emotional/mental health wellbeing at school. Thanks!

National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month
October is National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month. As always we are continuing to work to strengthen our school community and live the CARES motto. This month we will be going to the cafeteria for an SEL Lunch Lesson with a focus on explaining bullying type behaviors and what to do to address it. The video we will show is posted below. We are looking forward to productive discussions with all students.
