Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest is our parish festival and will be on October 4 & 5, 2019. Parish festivals require a lot of volunteers to be successful. Please consider volunteering in an area that you feel utilizes your individual gifts and talents, which greatly benefits our parish and school. It is a rewarding experience to volunteer alongside your fellow parishioners and is a great way to meet new people. We ask that each school family either buy or sell at least one Oktoberfest Raffle Ticket no matter how many students that you have at Holy Name School. Raffle tickets are $100, which if bought by our Spaghetti Dinner on August 17, will give you great odds at winning one $2,000, two $500, two $1,000 and one $20,000 drawings! Only 1,000 tickets will be sold! You can also check with friends and family and go in together to buy a ticket. Each family who buys or sells at least one ticket will get an entire week out of uniform during the week of Oktoberfest for all of their students. Raffle tickets can be purchased through the School office.

Southside Flag Football League

Southside Flag Football League - St. Mark Athletic Committee is accepting flag football registrations for 2019. Boys and girls entering grades K-2 are eligible to play for their Parish teams and the registration fee is $60.00. Register online at https://tshq.bluesombrero.com/southsideflagfb. The deadline to register is August 16, practices will begin the week of August 19, and the first games scheduled for August 31. The season ends on October 5. Practices are normally once per week and are scheduled by the coaches. Games are held on Saturday mornings at St. Mark.

Mardi Gras Chairperson

Just a reminder- we are still looking for someone to be the chairperson (or co-chairs) of the Mardi Gras Reverse Raffle for next year. Please contact Amy Wright or Julie Beeson if you would be willing to chair this event next year, or if you have any questions. Mardi Gras 2020 will be held on Saturday, February 22. Thank you so much for considering!

Titan Family Portal

Parents,

The Titan family portal, family.titank12.com has a new feature! Besides being able to put $ on your children’s lunch account, you can now set up spending limits! You can now choose to give your child a spending limit or give them a snack amount limit, meaning you can limit them to a number of snacks no matter the cost. Please see Titan’s information on this enhancement below:

Allow parents the ability to set up spending limits in their Family Portal account: This new feature allows parents to set up spending limits to their child(ren)’s account while logged into the family portal. This is feature is available for each student listed in the account. The parent will click on the 3 dots in the upper right-hand corner of the child’s account. The menu has the option to Edit Spending Limits.

Spending limits can be set up by serving session, parents have the ability to choose the quantity they wish to limit or the dollar amount. The screen notifies parents the limits apply to non-reimbursable meals only.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns @ lstevenson@holyname.cc.
