Good afternoon,
We hope this message finds you well! Please see below for six updates and important information from Food Services. If you have any questions or need more information, please visit the FPS Food Service Website: https://www.framingham.k12.ma.us/foodservices
Menus
All menus for schools are published on the Nutrislice website and via a mobile app. Learn more about the new menu system here: https://www.framingham.k12.ma.us/menu
Download The App: The app is called Nutrislice and can be downloaded for free! Simply visit the appropriate app store link: iOS App Store or the Google Play Store.
Free Meals
Each student can receive a free breakfast AND a free lunch each day at school.
MySchoolBucks
Beyond the one free breakfast and lunch, additional meals or extra food / beverage items that a student wishes to consume, can ONLY be purchased using funds though MySchoolBucks. Through this platform, caregivers add funds and students can spend those funds only on food items. Learn more about MySchoolBucks and add money today: https://www.framingham.k12.ma.us/Page/2534
Updated Charge Policy
The Charge Policy has been updated by the School Committee. This is very important information, especially for adults. The charge policy has been changed and is on the website: https://z2policy.ctspublish.com/masc/browse/framinghamset/framingham/EFD. In short, if the students do not have money on their MySchoolBucks account, they won’t be allowed to buy a la carte or second meals. This is also true for staff members. Anyone purchasing food in a school cafeteria must have money in their MySchoolBucks account.
No Cash
All schools will be cashless. No cash will be accepted at any school, so caregivers will be required to make a MySchoolBucks account and add funds if they want their students to buy anything extra. Again, all first meals at breakfast and lunch are free, this only applies to second meals and a la cart purchases.
P-EBT Cards
If you or someone you know received a Summer P-EBT Card in the mail, please visit the FPS Food Service Website for more information on how to use your card. These cards are being distributed to students who qualified for Free/Reduced Meals OR who attended Barbieri, Brophy, Harmony Grove, McCarthy, Cameron, Fuller, or Thayer Campus during the last school year (2021 - 2022). This is a temporary government assistance program to help families purchase food at any physical or online retail store that accepts SNAP or EBT. You can choose to activate your card or hold on to it in the event that the country needs to activate an emergency food-assistance program in the future.
