A volcanic eruption is an unavoidable natural disaster.
Although there are many ways to avoid it before, after,
and during. Remember to stay safe and don't panic.

Be Aware Before

  • During be aware of additional hazards that come with volcanoes: landslides & rockfalls, earthquakes, ashfall & acid rain, tsunamis, mudflows & flash floods
  • Also be aware of escape routes

Avoiding During

  • remember: stay away from downwind areas and valleys
  • follow instructions of authorities

Responding After

  • Cover Mouth and nose when outside, keep skin covered, volcanic ash is very harmful and can mess up your respiratory system
