June 1, 2018

It has been a great year, one of social, academic, emotional and physical growth. We have experienced an eclipse together, survived the hurricane, celebrated lots of milestones and accomplishments and have been a family. There is a saying, "It takes a village to raise a child". A parent recently stated to me "I love our village at Holy Cross". I had never really thought about it that way before, but she is right. We are a village and we are part of THE village that is supporting you as you raise YOUR child(en).

I pray that you all have a happy, healthy and fun summer. Please don't let your kids mind dry up in front of the television or phone, computer or IPAD screens. Make sure that they are reading every day. Visit places they've never been and do things that they've never done. Find opportunities to expand their world.

The school office is open tomorrow and next week from 8:30AM until 4PM. Once summer camp begins, we will be open from 8AM until 6PM.

Look for a flyer that will be sent home with your child today!

It includes important dates to know, information about summer reading, school supplies and dress code/uniform information.

The second page is a flyer from the uniform company that includes the coupon with bar code for a free red polo shirt. It also discusses 15% off at the store on the day that you redeem your coupon for the free red polo.

The uniform truck will be here at Holy Cross on Wednesday, June 21.

REGISTRATION IS NOW BEING ACCEPTED FOR ALL SUMMER PROGRAM. Please note that on the first day of camp, June 18, we will not accept registration so if you wait until the last minute, your child will miss a day of camp. Information regarding all three programs are attached below.

Regarding summer school... we have changed the schedule a bit this year in an effort to allow students and parents time to get away on the weekends. The summer school day is longer but there is no school on Friday so the kids get a three day weekend. Kids who are enrolled in camp get a full day in camp. Lunch is provided to all students in summer school.

Summer Sign Language

Please see link below for information on summer sign language that is being offered by Marie Innocent to incoming 6,7 and 8th grade students. Please contact Ms. Innocent with any questions.

We are under construction

You probably have noticed that our courtyard has been dug up and that work is going. We have to replace all of the sewer lines to permanently solve the problem that we have had this year with plumbing. This is a very costly and time consuming project and we appreciate your understanding.
