Description: At the start of each school year we ask that returning staff register their assigned employee laptops and acknowledge the user agreement for that device. This also associates a device to an employee and registers their device lock code to that device. Please see the attached documents for additional details regarding this effort.

Description: According to HB 3906, STAAR testing on the first instructional day of the week is now prohibited. FBISD is creating an EOC testing schedule that remains within the designated timelines provided by TEA. The complete Assessment Calendar will be released August 21. The Learning Assessments and Ren 360 dates are provided.
Topic: Fall 2019 ESL Certification Trainings INFORMATION ONLY
e district will no longer be providing reimbursements to teachers for obtaining their ESL certification. The Multilingual Programs Department will continue to offer ESL Certification trainings throughout the school year. The attached flyer provides the dates and locations of trainings. Trainings are free-of-charge and will now be open to all FBISD employees who have a valid Texas teaching certificate. Please share this information with campus staff.

Special Education Updates
As you are planning for lessons, make certain you are collaborating with your special education teachers who also support your students learning. Share your lesson plans and materials with the special ed. teachers and schedule time to discuss the lesson if the teacher is providing co-teach support.
