Veterans Visit 2nd Grade

Students in Mrs. Langhals & Mrs. Gomez's classes had a chance to meet veterans this morning and learn about their expereinces in the military. Mr. Mark Frysinger, who was a Second Lieutenant, and Mr. Dave Stumpp, a Specialist 5th Class & Tank Mechanic, told the students all about their tours of duty, both in Germany & Honduras. The students had lots of questions and learned about M.R.E's and C-rations. We appreciate all of our veterans for their service and thank you to Mr. Frysinger and Mr. Stumpp for visiting Elida Elementary!

Students Research Projects in 5th Grade Language Arts

Students in Mrs. Olson's Language Arts class were looking to the past to learn all about inventions in a recent project. The students researched a topic, created powerpoint presentations or videos, complete with reference material and gave presentations to the class. Topics included the history of television, toaster ovens, air-conditioners, and more. The students put lots of hard work into this lesson! Great job!
