Notes from the Principal
Spring Break is Next Week!!!
I hope everyone has a chance to relax and recharge at least a little this next week. Get outside, play, run, walk, and most importantly, enjoy family!!! That is what makes a memorable Spring Break. It is truly not where you are, but who you are with, that makes all the difference. Take this opportunity to create some wonderful family memories!!!
Also, what a great night we had this past Friday at our 4th – 5th grade dance. The kiddos had a great time and it was a rousing success. Another huge thank-you to our PTA and other volunteers who helped make this possible.
Campus Advisory Council seeking new members for the 2019-20 school year
The Boone Campus Advisory Council is looking for 2-3 new parents to fill roles on the CAC. We meet once a month from 3:20 – 4:20 pm. The role of the CAC is to provide support and guidance over various school related topics and plans. Parent input is extremely valued at Boone and this is an important part of what keeps Boone great.
The application for the CAC is attached to this email. Please complete the application and submit it to the main office. The CAC will be reviewing the applications and voting on new members at our April and May meetings. If you have any additional questions, please contact me directly at 512-414-5311.
Next Boone Grounds Work Day
Our next Boone Grounds Workday is scheduled for Saturday, March 30th from 9am-12pm. We will be focusing on cleaning up the grounds and building additional new garden boxes for our garden. We need 6 additional beds built to be ready for our school-wide gardening program next Fall. More details will follow after Spring Break.Boone Multicultural Night - We Need Your Help!

You can help with FACTS, FUN, or FOOD!
Facts-- bring a display and/or objects to teach about your country
Fun-- perform music, dance, poetry, etc. from your country
Food-- bring a traditional dish from your country to share
We already have some cultures represented, but we want to celebrate all of Boone’s diversity!

The Boone PTA is having a fundraiser that you won't be able to live without!
We will be selling Local, Organic, Fresh Roasted Coffee & Tea. This isn't some money raising company far away that takes 25%. This is a Boone PTA hosted fundraiser & all the profits stay in our school. We start sales Thursday March 28th & ends Friday April 12th. Coffee will be distributed Monday April 22nd & Tuesday April 23rd.
We have two goals with this fundraiser:
1. Teacher Reimbursement for class materials. This isn't a blank check, teachers submit receipts & are cut a check. Last year we reimbursed $5000! This money takes a blank grey classroom & makes it colorful, inviting, & advantageous to learning.
2. We want to fund the PEAS program for each classroom, once a week. This gardening program is a jewel in our schools crown. (Ask your children how much they love it.) Currently only a few classes attend PEAS. Please follow the link to learn more. The benefits are too numerous to list here.
The coffee we will be offering is Organic & will be roasted just days before delivery. Most importantly it's delicious! Our coffee & tea comes from Texas Coffee Traders & is of the highest quality. This is a product you will actually want to buy! See the flyer below for more information.
Please help support your child's education..... & your addiction!
If you want to volunteer or have ideas we will have a meeting March 22nd at Crema Bakery, 10am. email BoonePtaTechnology@gmail.com for more info.
Thanks to our Spring Carnival Sponsors!
