About Our Department
Research Interests
The department is interested in evaluating the efficacy of residential treatment, treatment foster care, outpatient services, and education services for youth and families with the purpose of providing practical feedback for programs and to enhance the knowledge of these programs in the field.

Meet the Team
Amy Strickler, PhD
Amy is an Evaluation Coordinator in the Organizational Performance Department. She also recently completed her Doctoral degree in the Counselor Education and Supervision program at Duquesne University, where she completed her research on the efficacy of pre-service trainings for treatment foster parents. She supports the program evaluation efforts within the organization including analyzing data, creating annual outcomes reports, & selecting evidence-based models.

Jennifer Peer, MS
Jen is an Evaluation Coordinator in the Organizational Performance Department. She is a graduate of Chatham University where she received her Masters’ in Counseling Psychology. She supports the program evaluation efforts within the organization including analyzing data, creating annual outcomes reports, & selecting evidence-based models.

Michael Valenti, PhD
Mike is a Research Coordinator in the Organizational Performance Department. He received his doctorate in Applied Developmental Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, where he focused his studies on positive behavioral interventions and educational psychology. He has previously worked as a behavioral specialist and educational consultant, and has experience in database management, staff administration and training, and program evaluation.
