Senior Scholarship Info:
One need-based scholarship is awarded to a student who will attend Wabash College, the second is awarded to a student who will attend Wabash College or any other accredited four-year education institution in the United States. These scholarships are based on character, academic performance, extra-curricular activities and financial need. Students attending Southmont High School must be ranked in the top half of their class at the end of their tenth semester in order to be considered for these awards.
You can stop by the Guidance Office to pick up an application. Application and all materials must be received by the Wabash College Financial Aid Office on or before 3:00 p.m. on December 4, 2020 by uploading documents to https://www.wabash.edu/admissions/finforms/uploaddocs
2. Montgomery County Commissioners Scholarship-For any Senior attending Wabash in the Fall 2022. Applications are due to the Wabash Financial Aid Office by December 3.
3. Knights of Pythias- A minimum of 12 scholarships will be given to Seniors from around the state in the amount of $1,000. Applications are due by mail by January 25th.
4. Montgomery County Community Foundation- Applications are online at www.mccf-in.org and are due by January 14th at 5:00pm.
We will be posting more scholarships on the Senior Google Classroom page and Announcements as they become available. Students may also pick up paper copies in the Guidance Office.

On Monday, November 15 at 6:00pm in the SHS Auditorium, professionals from INVested will be here to present on Financial Aid and walk through the process of filling out the FAFSA.
College Goal Sunday
The first of two College Goal Sunday http://www.collegegoalsunday.org/ events will be held on Sunday November 7, 2021, also at Ivy Tech - Lafayette, from 2-4 pm. Staff from both Ivy Tech and Purdue will be on hand to assist students/families submit their FAFSA at the College Goal Sunday event. Note: Daylight Savings time ends on November 7th.
