Principal's Message....
Happy New Year! The adventure continues at RCES......
As we enter into a new year, I want to celebrate 2019 at RCES. Our focus for the first half of the year was to develop a strong learning community. We spent time building relationships and celebrating our differences in order to create a safe and nurturing environment to learn and grow. As a building we focused on the importance of being respectful, responsible, and kind. Together we demonstrated kindness, compassion and caring in both big and little ways. We showed gratitude for others, made new friends, cared for others both in and outside our building, and made learning fun. This year RCES collected $1,300.00 from our Annual Penny Drive! This was given to Family Care and used to purchase gifts, clothes, and food for local families in our community. Just another wonderful example of the kind and generous students, staff, and families at RCES. I am truly humbled by the kindness and compassion of our learning community. Thank you!
As we enter into 2020, we will continue to develop our community of learners with a constant focus on providing a safe place for our students to stretch their thinking, take academic risks, be creative and most of all - have fun. Our learning adventure is just getting started! Please look for ways to join in the fun by volunteering in our classrooms, participating in FORCES, helping out during one of our school celebrations, and/or attending our family events.
Adventures are the best way to learn! Yours begins at RCES!
