Encouragement
Dear Staff,
As we head towards fall break, I know so many of you are tired from preparing engaging lessons for observations, staying late for grandparents night, and wrapping up the first quarter. With that in mind, I would like you to watch the video below from a friendly elementary principal.
Please know how much I appreciate you! You are all STARS in my book.

Have a great week!

Fall Break: Take a Break from School!
- Over fall break teachers will not be able to enter the building through the front doors. Walk Off Carpet will be installed in our entryway.
- Bathrooms in the special education rooms will be reworked so the sinks will be at appropriate height for elementary students.
- All restrooms will be completed upstairs.
- Stairways will be completed.
- You are welcome to come in and work, but it might be messy. Also, I am not sure about the restroom situation since water might have to be turned off due to plumbing.
- It just might be nice excuse to take a fall break! :)
Announcements and Reminders
- Please let me know you have any language concerns for parent-teacher conferences and need an interpreter.
- From Nicole Crum: Please continue to ask your staff to check their calendars for upcoming appointments or personal days that they need off. Just request early for the best situation.
- Grades 1-5 make sure you give the math end of quarter assessments between September 26th-October 7th--This includes high ability students. Grades 3-5-we can't add a column, but you can copy and paste. Let me know if you need help.

Last year our students raised 1500. 00 of for the foundation. We will sell "tennis shoes" again for a dollar.
Legacy Grants are available. The fall grant deadline is November 1st. I would like to see at least one teacher from Central Elementary submit an application.
- Observations--I am trying to get these scored during the week, but it will most likely be the weekend before they are scored.
- Math Textbook Adoption will look very different than in the past. Stay tuned if you are on the committee.
