Tiger Times
NEWS AND INFO FOR SLATER STAFF 1.13
Thank you to the entire staff for all of your hard work in welcoming students back to school and resetting structures and routines. We saw so many wonderful culture building and goal setting activities!
Kid President had a great idea:
"What if we all made a resolution to make this year awesome for somebody else?"
I think he's on to something. What if our resolution was to make this year awesome for each other? For our teammates? For our students? For our families? For our community?
Muhammad Ali said "Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth."
No matter how the wind blows, let's make this year awesome for each other! Happy New Year!

Our DOJO Revamp and Alignment is now in the implementation stage. Remember, we should all only have 5 skills (3 schoolwide + 1 class custom + 1 grade level custom) weighted at 1 point. The same 5 skill should be reflected in “Needs Work” and weighted at 0 points. Flood your class story as we begin the new year!

Culture Reminders
You did it! We had no playground incidents in December! Our goal is the same for January, no incidents on the playground. This can only be achieved through consistent active monitoring while on duty.
Great job keeping kids safe during the lockdown on Wednesday. That’s why we practice! It’s extremely important that you know what to do during any level of lockdown - interior, exterior or full. Memorize it, print it out, store it on your phone, or read the alert message if available. Remember to display your status cards during an Interior Lockdown. Shout out to Ms. Brandon for having her status card displayed. Status cards can also be slid right outside of your door.
