Message from the office.

Hello BCE Community

I want to send out a special thanks to the parent club for all the events this year. Last night at the parent club meeting, we discussed all the events and the success. Our school couldn't grow and thrive without all the parental support.

We are finishing up CAASPP testing this week for all of our 3rd-5th graders. We will do all makeup testing next week. Please help us out by ensuring your students are here every day. We are so proud of how hard everyone is working and taking the test seriously.

I have received several questions about next year and placement. We spend a lot of time as staff building the most balanced classrooms possible. We have many factors to consider, but our focus is building balanced classrooms. Below is a parent input form on the environment you think would be best for your student. Please note no specific teacher names will be accepted. Please complete the form for each student. This is not required, only if you wish.

Parking and crosswalk have been hectic the past couple of weeks. Please remember we have kids walking. Ensuring safety is our priority. Please DO NOT go around the crossing guards or turn around in the streets. This has caused a lot of concern and is not safe. Thank you for understanding and ensuring everyone's safety.

With 3 weeks of school left, we have a lot on the calendar. So attendance matters. I would hate for any student to miss out. Please see the calendar below for all the events coming up.

To all the BCE moms, have a wonderful Mother's Day Weekend.

Have a great weekend, everyone.

Attendance Matters

I know that many have been receiving attendance letters from the office. Please note that whenever your child misses school, they miss out on their education. While we completely understand that things come up and students get sick, we encourage you to do whatever you can to ensure your student is in school daily. If you plan on being out for more than 3 days, please see the office at least 2 weeks prior. We can complete an independent studies packet for you. Please see the attached document that states what excused and unexcused absences are.

If you have any questions please contact the office.

Art and Music Festival

SAVE THE DATE (5/17): SLV Music Boosters will host our Second Annual SLV Music & Art Festival at Roaring Camp Railroads on May 17, 2023. This event features students in grades 5-12 and includes band, choir, and art. The gate opens at 4:00, and performances begin at 5:00. We hope you will attend this community event and enjoy a fun night out with performances from each of the talented school music ensembles, a student art display, 6 food trucks, a silent auction. The festival is free for everyone, but donations will be accepted to raise money for future field trips, music, instruments, and instrument accessories.

If you are able to donate an auction item or provide cash sponsorship to our silent auction, please fill out our silent auction donation form.
