A reminder that our NDHS Priority Days are as follows:

  • Monday - CTS/Fine Arts
  • Tuesday - Math
  • Wednesday - Science
  • Thursday - Humanities
  • Friday - Online classes

If you are needing to see more than one teacher or need help in more than one subject, use these priority days to organize your NDHS time/schedule.

Alpha Youth Series is back!

Join us every Wednesday at lunch in the Youth Ministry Office for food and discussion. Great to gain religion hours, learn and grow in faith.

RCIA for Teens!

Want to be baptized? Do you want to be confirmed or learn more about the sacraments?

RCIA for teens is a program for High School students desiring to move forward in their sacraments, or are just curious about the Catholic Faith. We will have 4 retreat days throughout the year. If you are interested, please contact Jeannette in the youth ministry office room 1910, or email her at

Calling all photographers and lay design artists! Yearbook Club is deciding this year’s yearbook theme this upcoming Monday, October 18th! If you are interested in taking photos for yearbook or getting involved is designing the book, come to the computer lab (room 2312) after school (3:40ish). No experience necessary.

Red Deer Polytechnic (formerly Red Deer College) will be on Notre Dame’s campus in the Learning Commons on Friday October 29 from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm to talk with students interested in learning more about RDP, making applications to programs and applying to scholarships.

Out of Province College & University Fair

Any student considering a post-secondary education out of province should attend the OOP (Out Of Province) virtual event taking place next month. All of our virtual fairs will feature representatives from participating institutions. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions and explore post-secondary options through live video chat.

Mini Post Secondary Fair

On Monday, October 18, Notre Dame will be hosting a “Mini” Post-Secondary Education Fair with five AMAZING Alberta post-secondary institutions participating:

  • MacEwan University
  • Lethbridge College
  • Medicine Hat College
  • University of Lethbridge
  • University of Calgary

This event will take place from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm in the Learning Commons. In order to manage numbers and maintain distance, SIGN UP IS REQUIRED. Students in all grades are welcome to participate. Please sign up using the Google Sheet below.

Alberta College & University Fair

Any student considering a post-secondary education within Alberta should attend the ELAA (Educational Liaison Association of Alberta) virtual event taking place next month.

28 Alberta post-secondary institutions including Colleges, Universities, Technical Institutions, the RCMP, and Canadian Forces will be in attendance. In this virtual booth fair, you can inquire about programs, admission requirements, scholarships, housing, and much more!

Are you considering attending the University of Calgary in September 2022? Do you need help with your application or have you already applied? Submitting your Application to the University of Alberta

The University of Alberta has over 200 undergraduate program options, $34 million in scholarships and awards, 450+ student groups and clubs, award-winning teachers and researchers, and an amazing student body!

This information session will give students an opportunity to learn more about programs, campus life, admission requirements, and upcoming events for prospective students.

Join online and learn how to submit an application for admission to U of A! This session will begin with a short presentation and will be followed by a Q & A with a UAlberta Advisor.

University of Alberta Info Session - For Notre Dame Students Only!

Horatio Alger Scholarship Program - Grade 11 Students

The Horatio Alger Scholarship Program is a scholarship program open to GRADE 11 students. The application process will reopen in December 2021. Check the Horatio Alger website for details. Applicants for both the Entrepreneurial and Canadian Scholarships are required to fill out only ONE application.

SPARC Red Deer and Sylvan Lake is proudly presenting a variety of family-friendly events next month to help children grow up great.

The SPARC Family Challenge runs from November 1 to 28. The goal of this four-week program is to educate the community about the 40 developmental assets that allow children and youth to thrive.
