Edgar Allan Poe was born on January 19, 1809. Edgar Allen Poe is credited with being the father of all horror story's and novels.
What was his childhood like?
Edgar's childhood was terrible his childhood was filled with grief and death. His father had left him when he was a baby and his mother died when he was only two years old.
How big a part of his life was filled with death?
His whole life was filled with death his mother died when he was two his adopted mother died when he was 20 years old and his wife would later died of tuberculosis like both of his mothers.

Edgar Allan Poe published his first book in 1838.

His best selling and most popular book is the Raven.

Because he was traveling got off course and somehow ended up in Baltimore and he latter died in a hospital.
