Big picture

HERE IS WHAT SOME OF OUR NEW PARENTS HAVE TO SAY:

Danielle Riggen

(Parent of multiple kids)

"Love, love having the one on one teacher time. The teachers help where we are struggling. Reach out to them. They are all amazing."

Melissa Marie Ramirez

"Yes they are wonderful! My daughter is in 6th grade we are new to Monte Vista and I am so impressed. Their hearts are in all they do! We are so happy to be a part of this family. My daughter struggles in math and had previously had terrible experience with her last special ed math teacher last year. My daughter would cry. I am thankful to have her in a safe place where they are patient and want to help her in any way possible. Monte vista is a breath of fresh air and has changed our lives.😊👍"

REMINDER FOR THIS WEEK!

No In-person 4-H this week as we will be joining Dr. P's monthly Floral Class.

Sign ups are open on our school website and on this newsletter above.

Students need to be signed up as "student" and also when picking up supplies. All information related to the Floral Class is above on the Floral Class announcement.

See you on Zoom!

4-H UPCOMING PROJECTS!

We are looking for supplies for upcoming projects and classes.

We will try "winter sowing" and will need CLEAN translucent milk jugs (one gallon; one-half gallon size work well too.) If you keep the lid, it can be used to number the container.

Clean and/or translucent juice or water bottles with lids or caps work well also.

The larger sizes work best, but we can experiment with liter bottles for now.

Many seeds need a cold spell to break their winter dormancy.

Setting them out in the jugs helps expose the seeds to cooler weather and protects

them from critters digging them up.

Seeds that germinate can be planted in hunks (or thinned and planted).

This method is helpful for flower seeds that might not otherwise come up

in our warmer climate. You may want to bring one to school and try one at home!

Donated supplies can be dropped off during 4-H class.
