CHS Preps for ONLINE learning Apr 6

Part 1 - General Info (Part 2 will come April 6th)

ALL CHS teachers will start providing access to ONLINE learning experiences starting April 6th

On April 6th all CHS families will receive a document showing the learning plan for all CHS classes. It is important that all students invest and engage in this new way of learning. As we make this transition all learning is recommended to stay on track for each class - this is a way to stay "sharp" during this unprecedented time. Using these learning opportunities prepares your child and your family for this new reality so that when the stakes are higher (if Distance Learning is extended beyond April), everyone is ready to succeed and show their learning. We will be patient with the learning curve and we also ask you to be patient with us, the staff of CHS, as we learn this new learning environment.

How do I email with my teacher?

Email your teachers at their designated email as listed on their powerschool or syllabus. Most students should already be familiar with their teachers' preferred communication. If you are having communication difficulties reach out to CUSD administrators and we will help connect you.

Changes to AP Testing:

With schools disrupted across the country, the College Board is making adjustments to their testing procedures. Testing will now be conducted online from your home for those who completed testing registration and payment. No new tests can be ordered at this time. Online test review materials are available online by logging into your MyAP account. Live review sessions will be offered beginning Wednesday, March 25th. See the link below for more information.

Mental Health - it takes "exercise" just like physical health to keep yourself in "good shape."

If you are feeling a great deal of anxiety, try this technique called soothing with your senses:
    • Name 5 things you can see around you right now

    • Name 4 things you can touch around you right now

    • Name 3 things you can hear around you right now

    • Name 2 things you can taste around you right now

    • Name 1 thing you can smell around you right now
