Cafeteria Updates

LCISD elementary cafeterias will be open to visitors during lunch beginning Monday after Spring Break! While we are very excited to have parents and grandparents on campus, our top priority is still student safety (both physical safety and health). Please read below for updates to our cafeteria guidelines!

- Please make note of your child's lunch time! Our lunches are exactly 30 minutes long and we run 763 students through our cafeteria each day. If a parent is wanting to eat with their child outside of their lunch time they will need to be checked out.

- Guest seating will be separate from our student seating and is limited. Guests will not be permitted to sit at student tables. We invite guests to join during lunch but only with their child and only at our designated seating areas.

- All guests must check in and out through our main office. Please have your driver's license ready as we can and perform a brief background check on all visitors to our building. This process takes a few minutes and may be delayed if there are several visitors at once. Please plan accordingly.

- Arrival and Dismissal times are still closed campus. Parents and visitors will not be permitted inside the building during arrival or dismissal at this time.

We thank you in advance for doing your part to help keep our students safe and help our building routines run smoothly.

Be A WATCH DOG!

Texas is open for business and so is Lubbock Cooper Central Elementary WatchDOGS !

Due to COVID-19 and the restrictions, distractions and cautions associated with that we have not actively promoted WatchDOGS participation in the 2020-2021 School year. We have had a few WatchDOGS on campus and the students have been so excited. With COVID beginning to wane we want to open up the opportunity for more Dads, GrandDads, Uncles or any father figures to come to Cooper Central to be with the students and to show them we care about them and we care about their education.

If you are interested in being a WatchDOG please call, text or e-mail the Lubbock Cooper Central Elementary WatchDOGS coordinator, Rick Overman at any of the following contacts:

Rick Overman

Mobile 806-438-7601

coopercentralwatchdogs14@gmail.com

Please include in your request your student(s) name(s) and current teacher. Allow 48 hours or more from the date of your request to the day you want to serve. Upon receiving your request Rick will prepare a schedule and will send it to the teachers to be sure your visit will fit with their schedule for that day and then will send you your completed and approved schedule.

We do not have a WatchDOGS calendar because we have had not had a lot of signups. So, likely the day you would like to serve will be available. Just pick a day and send your request. We can have up to 3 WatchDOGS per day.

During your visit you will still be asked to observe the guidelines set forth by Lubbock Cooper ISD and Lubbock Cooper Central Elementary. We will provide those guidelines when we send your schedule.
