Social Studies

  • NewsELA - assign current events, have students change reading level if they need to, some have quizzes. Have students create questions, quizzes or other things based on the information.
  • TEDEd - show history/social studies related videos and use the lessons. Have students create questions based on the information.
  • Prism - Take an article from NewsELA and have students highlight (How you set up the highlights depends on the topic.
  • Kahoot - have students create and submit questions through a Google form, you pick the best ones and have a review game.
  • Diffen - research the difference between two countries, parties, presidents. (Then put it into prism and have students highlight the important parts.)
  • Powtoon - create a video as a product for any project.
