Principal's Message

Principal: Mr. J.D. Bussell

RCHS Students & Parents,

Greetings from The Rock!

Fall Midterm

Monday, November 1st will officially begin our 2nd half of Fall Semester. We will have a school wide grade check on Friday, November 5th and report cards will be distributed to our students that day. Please go over these reports with your children and have them talk to their teachers about low grades.

Fall Tutoring

We are starting tutoring during the fall semester WITHOUT transportation. Our plan is to do 2, one hour sessions each week from 3:15-4:15 on Tuesday and Thursday.

Here are the dates for the Fall: Nov 2, 4, 9, 11, 16, 18, 30 & Dec 2, 7, 9

We encourage all students to take advantage of these tutoring sessions.

Flu Vaccines

Students will be given a “Flu Vaccine School Consent Form” today to bring home for your attention. If you would like for your child to receive a flu vaccination (not COVID vaccination), please complete the consent form and have your child return to RCHS by Wednesday, November 3rd. If you already completed the consent form at the beginning of the school year, we should have that on file at RCHS.

Flu shots will be administered at RCHS on Thursday, November 11th.

Infinite Campus Parent Portal

I encourage all parents to check your child’s grades on IC Parent Portal regularly. Because we have been unable to physically send home report cards, it is imperative that parents check grades online. You can go the link: and if you have issues logging on, email Ms. Sherri McKinney: or call RCHS for login information.

School Pointe Email Service

RCHS has switched mass email services to a system called “School Pointe” from Send It. If you are not receiving emails form RCHS through this service, please contact Sherri McKinney at RCHS.

Be safe & please contact me at RCHS if I can be of service.

J.D. Bussell

1. The FAFSA Workshop was a very successful event! If anyone still needs help filling out their FAFSA, please email the counselors to set up a time to do so!

2. All senior interviews have been completed. Any senior who would like to meet with one of the counselors for specific information about schools or programs can email them to schedule a time.

3. Colleges will continue to visit during lunch throughout the year. We encourage you to stop by their table to learn about their school. The representatives from these schools are happy to speak with any student regardless of grade level!

4. There will be a Governor's Scholars Program information session next Tuesday for any juniors interested. Interested juniors with last names A-L will report to the library during 2nd period and M-Z during 3rd period.
