The Kora
The Kora is a commonly used instrument in Africa, it was created by Giots hundreds of years ago. Here are two interesting facts:
-Built like a harp from a calabash cut in half and covered in cow skin to make a resonator with a long hardwood neck.
-Unlike usual or common string instruments the Kora has twenty-one strings.
The Kora is used to tell stories through music and to tell about the musicians culture.
