Collective Commitment Corner
Hello, Pirate Team!
The movement we’ve embraced recently as a collaborative team is both exciting and important for our student learning, and I can’t wait to witness what impactful next steps we’ll evidence! You know, we are on the right track for what it takes to build capacity within our building and to produce our assessment-ready learners.
Here’s a photo [below] from this week’s time with Peter DeWitt. Not only does DeWitt partner with John Hattie as the practitioner side to Hattie’s research, but his work as a Visible Learning Trainer is also greatly respected. His blog, Finding Common Ground, is published by Education Week, and his presentations focus on collaborative impact systems, collective efficacy, collaborative leadership, effective instructional practices, and school culture and climate.
We are all leaders within our school. Through our support of one another, our critical conversations, and appreciation of one another as thinking partners, we are only strengthening our system. As we move forward with Lesson Study, please mark your calendars for February 4th and 6th. Thanks for all that you do to support our students and to support each other!
