Coloma Junior High
Week of January 3rd, 2021
Welcome Back!
I hope that everyone had a happy and healthy winter break. As we return, we are at the start of 2nd semester. On Monday morning, all students will report to their 1st hour 1st semester class. In that classroom they will receive their updated schedule for 2nd semester - some students will have changes, some students may not have any changes at all. Once students have their updated schedules we will provide a short passing time for students to move to their new 1st hour if needed.
Just a reminder that at this point in the school year, schedule changes will only occur in the event of a mistake on your child's schedule. We are not able to accommodate requests for elective, teacher, or lunch changes.
Report cards for finalized 1st semester grades will be posted to the parent portal on Tuesday, Jan. 4th. In the event that your child missed an exam for any reason, they will have 2 weeks to make up that exam and to be able to convert their missing exam grade into a score. Students should coordinate directly with their teachers to make up the exams.
Charge Your Chromebook
It's easy to fall out of the routine of preparing for school over an extended break. Be sure to pack your backpacks and charge your chromebooks this evening. Coming to school without a chromebook or an uncharged chromebook is the same as not coming to class with a pencil. Chromebooks are used regularly and when students do not have their chromebooks, they are not able to participate in class as they should.
