Virginia was formed by John Smith because they needed a way to trade and profit.
New York was formed by Peter Minuit they also needed a way to trade and profit.
Massachusetts Bay was formed by John Winthrop for religious freedom from the Puritans.
New Hampshire was formed by John Mason for the escape for those constricted by religious and economic rules.
Maryland was formed George Calvert for religious freedom for the Catholics of the nation.
Connecticut was formed by Thomas Hooker for religious and economic freedom.
Rhode Island was formed by Roger Williams for religious freedom.
Delaware was formed Peter Minuit for trade and profits.
