Fox Family Updates for the Week...
Good Evening Fox Families, this is your assistant principal Bethany Ruhlman with this week’s announcements and reminders. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
First up, we would like to congratulate 4th grader, Avery Patterson. She was chosen as this week’s TeamLCPS Student MVP! We are so proud of you, Avery!
We have several items in the lost and found that need to be retrieved. All items will be displayed on tables next week in the hallway by the cafeteria where all students can see them each day and have the opportunity to pick up their belongings and bring them home. Anything left after December 15th will be taken to the Goodwill. Please remind your student to look for anything that is missing and you may also come by to check the table yourself.
Thank you to any families that were able to support our annual Angel Tree project. Your generosity will make a difference in the lives of many families this holiday season.
From December 11th to 15th, our school will be hosting the Penguin Patch Holiday Shop. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to purchase small gifts for family and friends. Students will have the opportunity to shop during their library resource time this week. The PTA is looking for volunteers, which can include any family members, to help students shop during the Penguin Patch. If you are interested, please see this sign up link and be sure to bring your photo ID to school during your volunteer time.
On Monday through Friday of next week, we will be celebrating Holiday Spirit Week! Each day, we'll have a unique theme to celebrate. Throughout the week, join in the fun, snap a selfie, and email it to us at spirit@lcps.k12.va.us. Winners will be randomly selected each day to win a PRIZE!
We have attached a calendar with our daily themes for next week. Students and staff, be sure to save this flyer and then join in the fun next week! Don’t forget Friday, December 15th is our Amistad Den Breakfast! While you are dressing festive please try to wear Red!
We are #TeamLCPS! Let's finish strong!
With Fox Pride,
Bethany Ruhlman
