Reflections from the Principal
The vocational recruitment meeting will take place this Friday, January 17th, at 9:30 am in the cafeteria. All 10th graders and any 11th graders who are not currently enrolled in a vocational course should attend this meeting. If you have any questions, please let me know.
My calendar looks extra busy this week with meetings and places to be. If you need me and don't see me around right away, please don't hesitate to contact me by phone or email.
Have a great week!

Great Things I Saw This Week
Mrs. Peterson's resource class was working hard this week! Mrs. Peterson and Mrs. Jackson were both providing support for students on assignments and tests, while other students spent their free time on chromebooks. Thank you to Mrs. Peterson and Mrs. Jackson for all your additional support for students!
Mr. Hall and his vocational skills class are working extra hard at creating our new "Mustang Mall"! With the support of our community, we have had enough donated items to create a "Mustang Mall" of clothes! Students of all ages and sizes will be able to visit the "mall" and get clothes or hygiene products as needed. Mr. Hall's class has been sorting, folding, and organizing clothes for our "mall". Stay tuned for this awesome addition to our corporation! Thank you, Mr. Hall!
Mrs. Larson's class was knee deep working on graphing linear inequalities. Students were engaged and focused on Mrs. Larson's lesson. Students are able to graph linear inequalities on the smartboard for the whole class to see and learn from. Great use of technology, Mrs. Larson!
Last but not least, Mr. Deel's English class was busy taking the middle of the year iReady formative assessment. For those of you who do not teach an "iReady" curriculum subject, our junior high Math and English teachers give multiple formative/mastery of standard assessments in order to track student progress and mastery of standards. This data is used to target skills and concepts a student is missing or behind on. Students in Mr. Deel's class were hard at work completing their mid year assessment!
Feature a Teacher!
Mr. Curt Williams
Years Served in the Corporation: 5 Years
Currently Teaching: Welding I & Welding II
“I always remember Mr. Williams as being a very stern person. He was stern in a good way in the sense that he was always pushing us to be better at welding. If you listen to him and allow him to teach you, he will get you where you need to be in order to be successful in the working world. He taught me a great deal about welding in the two year vocational program. And I really can’t thank him enough for always pushing us because I wouldn’t be where I am now if it was not for Mr. Curt Williams.”
-Coagan Bane
“Mr. Williams may not come off like it, but he truly cares about each one of his students, not only in school, but also when it comes to each of their futures. He has helped multiple students find welding jobs right out of high school. Not only so, but if you were interested in continuing your education, no matter what it was, he was still 100% committed to helping in any way he could. Without Mr. Williams, I wouldn’t be where I am at in life right now.”
