Clue Ideas (digital and print)
Snote
Create a fun, unique and creative way to deliver a secret message. Snotes come in all shapes, sizes and colors. You can make your Snote easy to read, or add extra layers of secrecy making it more difficult to decode. Create one now at https://snotes.com/snotes/login.php.
Facts based on numbers
Use a variety of facts for students to research based on numbers and create an equation for them to solve.
Word Sort
Have students sort items or vocabulary into categories and use the total for each to create a number.
Grid Lock
Provide students with a 15 box grid and label the center YOU ARE HERE. In the remaining boxes, input answers to a number of content-related questions. Students answer the questions by identifying the correct box on the grid. The correct path will unlock the directional lock.
Buzz Words
Provide students with a text. Within the text, include the primary directions as part of the natural flow of the reading. Students can input the directions in the order they appear to open the lock.
"Random" Letters
Who says that in order to open a word lock you need to have an actual word? Why not use students’ multiple choice responses to create the code that will open a lock? Create a quick multiple choice “quiz’ or Google Form and use students’ lettered responses to open the word lock.
