Self-Correcting Questioning Loops
PEAK Strategy - Questioning
What is it?
This is a strategy to use to ensure students dig deeper and deeper in their conceptual understanding of a topic by collaboratively answering thoughtful questions.
How do I use this strategy?
1. Pose an open-ended question for students to think about and take notes on their answers individually.
2. In groups of two or three, have students share their reflections and notes and come up with a joint response they all agree on.
3. Have students break up into new groups of two or three and again come up with a joint response they all agree on.
4. Repeat the previous steps until all groups reach the deep, well thought out answer to the question.
