Employee Retention Stipend
A one-time $675 retention stipend was approved by the Board of Trustees as part of the 2019-2020 budget. The Board of Trustees approved the allocation of money in August and awarded the stipend at the November board meeting. To qualify for the one-time retention stipend, an employee must have been employed on or before September 17, 2019. In addition, the employee must still be employed as of January 21, 2020 with the expectation of continued employment through May 29, 2020.
Eligible employees will be paid a $675 Retention Stipend on February 14, 2020. This amount is not TRS eligible. Social Security, Medicare, Federal Income Tax, and other mandated deductions will be withheld.
Important Year-End Reminders
Electronic W-2 and 1095-C
Selecting electronic W-2 and 1095-C tax forms through Employee Access Center reduces paper and saves the district handling and postage costs. Please consider this delivery option.

Postivity Project
The Positivity Project character trait this week is HOPE.
People with this trait expect the best from the future and work to achieve it. Hope and optimism represent a state of hopefulness and confidence about the future (both short and long term).
People with this strength are future oriented. They have a positive vision of what the future holds and maintain confidence that they will get there. They keep a positive attitude despite setbacks – and often find ways to convert what seems like an obstacle into a stepping-stone to
achieve their goals.
Morning Arrival
Please be at your classroom door or your duty by 7:30 every morning ready for students. As stated in the handbook, the time between 7:30-8:00 should be utilized to focus on academic progress of our students. Classes should never be left unattended. Should an event unexpectedly arise, call or text Amy and I and let the front office know. There are instances when you may be a few minutes late but this should not happen frequently.

"Feels Like" Temperature
We will be using Weather Underground for our daily weather check.
Please use this link and/or app. Graystone Hills has a weather station here so we will use this unless it goes down.
https://www.wunderground.com/weather/us/tx/conroe/KTXCONRO198
The app looks like this. Our ZIP code is 77304 then you may have to select the weather station "Graystone Hills".
Come see me if you have trouble.
If the "feels like temp" is 95-98 degrees, you may have 15 minutes of outside recess instead of 30.
If the "feels like temp" is 99 or greater there is no outside recess.
