Each individual music class in 1st-4th grades put on a Music Sharing Day for their families including the short musicals “The Little Red Hen”, “Tikki Tikki Tembo”, The Stonecutter, and “The Bremen-town Musicians”, April 2018

High School Theatre
Competed at the Texas State Thespian Festival
Griffin Shoemaker advanced to Nationals in Solo Musical.
Ashley Diaz was elected a State Thespian Officer.
Helayna Barber was awarded the Texas Thespian Future Educator Scholarship.
Middle School Band
56 students auditioned for ATSSB All Region Middle School band where 28 students made the band, November 2018
High School Band
Sunnyvale Raider Pride Marching Band Consecutive Sweepstakes at Region 3 UIL Marching Competition, Mesquite HS
Sunnyvale Raider Pride Marching Band Consecutive showing at Area B UIL Marching Competition, Denton Collins Stadium, Denton ISD
Sunnyvale Raider Pride Marching Band and Band Boosters hosted 2018 Sixth Annual Sunnyvale Marching Invitational, and 25 HS Bands and Tyler Junior College Band
Elementary School Art
Participated in the PTA sponsored Reflections program where many art projects were sent to the regional competition, November 2018

Middle School
We won first place in UIL district contest held at Forney last year.
UIL Music Memory - Won Team in 5th, 6th, 7th grades
UIL Music Memory - 1st, 2nd, 3rd place in 5, 6, 7 & 8 grades
High School
37 SHS Students advanced to UIL Academic Regional Competition at TJC, Tyler, TX
One student, Jeff Cherian, placed 3rd at UIL State Competition in Computer Applications at UT, Austin
STEM
Elementary School
Sunnyvale Elementary Raider Robotics team presented their model and poster at the FLL Jr. North Texas Expo and received the Effort and Learning Award
This award is given to a team that shows a strong effort and a willingness to learn and try new things and is prepared for success.
Middle School
First Lego League made it to the regional competition
Science Bowl team went to the second round in their first year
First annual Pizza Parlor Shark Tank launched
Created STEM 2 - Computer Science section and curriculum
Funding and support from SEF for future Tiny House Project
Destination Imagination placed 1st in Instant Challenge and 2nd place in the Scientific Challenge for the second year in a row.
Our 5 other DI teams placed in the top 10 in their challenge category.

Sunnyvale High School advanced to UIL B.E.S.T. State Robotics for the second year in a row.
Sunnyvale High School Rocketry placed in the top 15% in the nation for qualifying scores for the Team America Rocket Challenge
Sunnyvale High School STEM successfully launched and retrieved its 3rd annual high altitude balloon in the Spring of 2018.

8A Basketball - Undefeated District Champions
8B Basketball - Undefeated District Champions
8th Grade Track - District Champions
High School Girls
Lady Raider Basketball finished as District Champions and Regional Semifinalists (32-4, 10-0)
Softball finished 3rd in District
Track finished as District Champion and had several athletes compete at the State meet for the 4th year in a row
Volleyball made the Playoffs
Girls Soccer finished as the District Runner-Up
Middle School Boys
7th Grade Boys win two 7 on 7 Tournaments (May 2018)
