The 5th Wave
Rick Yancey
The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey
Rick Yancey welcomes you into a world where earth is being invaded by aliens, and more than half the human population has been wiped out. Will Cassie survive on her own?Who's this Ben Parish character, and why does Cassie seem to be so distracted by him? Where is her brother, and will Cassie ever find him? In the end, only the strong will survive. You have to want it, and you have to want it bad.
The 5th wave is a fast paced, action packed book that will capture your attention from start to finish. Not a fan of aliens, or science fiction? Not to worry. Romance, foreshadowing, and plot twists keep will you enthralled in this book even through sci-fi scenes that would not typically appeal to your tastes. Personally, I could not put this book down. I could not have asked for a better ending. Yancey pulls different point of views and story lines together in one grand finale. Thank goodness this is only the first in the series, because I was desperate for far more than than 454 pages had to offer. The 5th wave is worth the read, and will leave a lasting impression long after you've turned the last page.
