PTA Board members needed
When you look at Jackson Elementary you will see our amazing volunteers and your PTA dollars hard at work. Have you logged into BrainPop or read your child’s Scholastic News? Perhaps you've attended one of our many family events: Spring Fling, movie night, cultural night, Ice Cream social, Bingo, Fall Fest, Donuts with Grownups, or the Math & Science night. All of these are fully funded by the PTA and put together by the many wonderful PTA volunteers. We are currently seeking board members for next school year for these positions:
Treasurer: Responsible for all funds of the association and maintaining accurate books and records. Authorized to sign on bank accounts. Presents financial reports, both written and verbal, at all meetings.
Secretary: Responsible for recording minutes of all meetings of the association and other general correspondence as needed and keeping accurate records of all official work of the association.
Social Media Manager: Manage publicity on the reader board, PTA website, Instagram, and Facebook Page.

After School STEAM Opportunity
Jackson's STEAM program is offering a free after-school program to all 5th and 6th graders. Students will build collaboratively using wooden planks or KAPLA blocks. We will be learning about famous Asian-American architects and designers as inspiration for our constructions. The club will run for four sessions. Families will have the opportunity to state their preference for two different rounds of dates in mid-May. Look for a flyer coming home with your student. (or click on the link below).
