Dolphin Digest Purpose
A Message from Mrs. Baker
As you look at your data, a couple of things to note and on which to reflect:
*Did 50% of my L25 students show growth in reading? That is our SIP goal for the end of the year. Where are your students performing in relation to this goal?
*How are my ESE, ESOL, Hispanic and Black students performing compared to the class overall? Is there a gap in their performance?
* MAP results are generated by student learning. Student learning is impacted by our teaching. Is my teaching reaching ALL students? What adjustments need to be made?
*Were there any surprises on this data? What do you think caused these surprises? Why do you think you were surprised? How do we eliminate surprises?
*How many of your students are at the 50th percentile or higher? On average, this is considered grade level. Who is close? How can get them there?
*Who are the students that underperformed and what will you do about them in your day to day teaching of reading and math core/intervention?
Some of these questions are challenging and require some deeper thinking but they are important ones to consider as we think about where are students are....Every person on campus plays a role in getting us the 38 points to an A. It is truly a team effort and we can continue to make an impact on their learning as we move into second semester. The game ain't over yet! The video clip below is a reminder to expect more from ourselves and students!
