Dating Violence
By: Christian Dixon
Dating Violence effects many people in our society today. I don't know if I would say that it affects families but I do know that it affects teenagers. I have found that 1.5 million high school students experience physical abuse nationwide. The long term affects of dating violence put these people at a higher risk of eating disorders, and risky sexual behaviors.
From what I've learned in Adult Living is that we should try and look for signs of somebody being abused. The victim cans try and call someone that they know they can trust. They can can also call some of theses agencies: The National Domestic Violence Hotline, The National Centers for Victims of Crime.
