The NCLA 5K
Upcoming Heart & Soles 5k & Fun Run
The Heart & Soles 5k & Fun Run is scheduled for Saturday, May 21st on The NCLA Campus. The run and following fellowship time is a fundraiser for The NCLA to raise much needed funds for the school while promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. The Heart & Soles Run will also donate a portion of proceeds to benefit the American Heart Association. Participants are encouraged to join us for music and breakfast fare after the run! Registration is open! Click HERE to ensure you get early bird pricing and a t-shirt. The race shirts are approved spirit wear for the school.
Similar to a Booster-Thon and other benefit races, we are encouraging students to collect donations for the event and the American Red Cross. We will have classroom winners similar to last year, but we have also added individual incentives for all of our students. We are asking each student to please ask a minimum of 10 people to donate $10. Of course you can ask more people and ask for less or higher amounts, but just by setting this simple goal we have an amazing opportunity to pull together and make a huge impact. When the information is sent home, please do not discard it and take a few minutes to review. This is our last fundraiser and school wide event of the school year – we hope to see you there!
Pre-Race Pasta Dinner
Save the Date! Get your carbs for the race and enjoy a wonderful dinner with friends. Giadas Trattoria is catering a pasta dinner for our families on Friday, May 20th in the multi-purpose room on campus.
Last year parents and students had a great time enjoying fellowship with each other. It is a great opportunity before the end of the year to celebrate with each other and fuel up for race day. You do not have to participate in the 5K race to join us, but if you are signed up we will also have a table set up for you to pick up your t-shirt and complete registration. We will have details on times, cost and other information in our special edition 5K Falcon Flyer!
