Recess This Week!
As stated before, most of the days this week will be rainy. Since the field/upper playground will be closed indefinitely until the sinkhole is filled, all recesses will be held on the lower playground (following our construction procedures). This means if you are on yard duty, please station yourselves in the locations that were set by Maura (can these be shared?).
With double the amount of students on the lower playground, we need to be even more vigilant supervising students. Please enforce the following:
1. No more Tag! It's a game that is constantly ending with kids getting in fights and arguments. We want them to run around and play, but Tag has been a source of injuries, and rough playing. For now, it will not be allowed.
2. Yard duty supervision for teachers early morning and at 1:45, please spread yourselves out amongst the play yard to ensure the yard is properly supervised.
3. If you have a walkie, please bring it out with you ON, full volume. I'm hoping the next shipment of walkies will arrive this week.
Please have a discussion with your students about no Tag, and I will also ask our noon-duty supervisors to enforce this as well.
I will keep you all updated with information about the Sinkhole, but please be mindful about the information you are sharing to students. Thanks
Chromebook Inventory
I will be placing another Chromebook order shortly, so that we can fulfill our 1:1 technology ratio.

Thank You Cards for Crossing Guard Volunteers!
Also, we discussed to have students across the grades to write thank you cards. I would like to deliver these by Thursday. You can turn them into the office when they are completed. You do not need to have names on them so that I can disperse them amongst all the volunteers.
Thanks, I'm sure they will feel appreciated.
