The Middle Years

The November issue of the Middle Years has some good information including the articles on creating study spaces, finding common ground, and the article on mental health. I especially appreciate the tips on finding the good in difficult situations.

Staff vs Student Cross Country Race

The Hood River Middle School Cross Country team has been participating in a virtual season this Fall. Student athletes complete running courses and then post pictures of themselves and their times. Coach Amanda Phillips is hosting a Staff v. Student competition and students have a chance to win prizes. Middle school Cross Country races are 3 kilometers or 1.8 miles. Our current fastest kiddo ran a 10:33 so we have some stiff competition! We hope this encourage more kids to get interested in running. Please contact our Athletic Director Mr. Tuner kyle.turner@hoodriver.k12.or.us or Coach Phillips amanda.phillips@hoodriver.k12.or.us if your kids are interested in HRMS XC!
